We were learning about writing persuasive emails with Whaea Ocea.
We also learnt about our digital footprint- this is all about what we post online and how it stays online so we need to make sure it is positive.
We were writing emails to our principal and deputy to persuade them to get a swimming pool, new playground equipment or more options for lunches.
This is my email that I sent
Kia ora Mr Crowe
I would like to inform you that we need a pool.
We need a pool because it would be easier to travel to the pools.
We spend a lot of money every year on buses so although we have to pay for a pool, once we have it we won’t have to pay for any more buses.
If we would build a pool in our school it would be faster to go to the pools and it is very hot in summer so it would be nice to cool down.
It is important to learn swimming skills so we can be at pools and beaches
So I would love a pool at our school.

It was tricky to learn how to write emails as there was lots of steps to learn but I’m glad Mr Crowe read and responded to my email.
